Road and Track Repairs

Track repair.

Crushing

Over time tracks can become potholed and rutted making driving on the slow and sometimes painful. Not only can this cause expensive repair bills to cars and agricultural machinery but also slow vehicles down at busy times leaving expensive equipment stood waiting in the field for trailers.

Simply refilling the pot holes with stone will give a short term fix to the problem but the new material that is added will not bind with the existing stone in the road so the added stone will quickly work loose and the original pothole will reappear.

Using the Meri crusher we are able to remove the potholes without having to add any extra material as it lifts and recycles the existing stone, leaving it all at the same consistency ready to be graded.

Grading

After the track has been crushed it can then be graded to give it a camber this will aid surface water run off. The surface can be grader so that it slopes one way or the other or a peak in the middle so that surface water will run either way.

Compaction

After the track has been graded it is important to that it is compacted we use a trailed vibrating roller as this gives a high load weight and a good level of compaction

Addition of cement.

To give a longer service life to roads and tracks we are able to add cement to the surface which is then mixed in and creates a solid surface. This method can also be used for the creation of hard standing areas and sugar beet pads.
